Hello, Pocoyo! (Part II): The magic marker
In Zinkia, we love imagination. Pocoyo loves imagination. In fact, when we try to explain to somebody what is Pocoyo, we use to say: Can you imagine seeing the world for first time? Keep on imagining… Can you imagine having a magic pen that makes true all you draw with it? You puncture your car wheel? No problem! Just draw a new one! Do you feel eating an apple? Take a paper, draw it and eat it! The door is close and you can not get in? Draw a door in the wall and come in…
Obviously, in Zinkia we were very excited with this idea (and who wasn’t?), so we decided to have this item as the central theme of the story of the videogame Hello, Pocoyo! Furthermore, as Nintendo DS has a tactile pencil to paint with on the screen, everything fitted perfectly.
However, it is not easy to include a new element for first time. Yes, we do have a magic pen, but… First issue: we also though about having colour pencils for Pocoyo and his friends – and those could be confusing with the magic pen. We eliminated the pen and we transformed it in a magic fountain pen. Second problem: the icon of the fountain pen was very clear; however this object was too adult for Pocoyo. So the conclusion was to use a magic marker…
But obviously, if we gave a magic marker to Pocoyo, what could happen? How far can go Pocoyo with his imagination? I guess, as far as any other child.
That sounds like so much fun! I'd love to have a magic marker!

Don't be dis-heartened by the lack of responses. Everyone still loves Pocoyo, but the blog has been quiet and they have just forgotten to check back. When they do, they'll get a big surprise and have lots of reading to do! :D

Hi!
I am from Illinois. I have many relatives in Canada and only this last month I have found out about Pocoyo. I watched it on Treehouse and bought a DVD.
I LOVE THIS ANIMATION!! (p.s.I am almost 40!)
Anyway, I have 3 boys, (8.6.& 3) and they stop EVERYTHING when the Pocoyo theme song starts playing.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE release this in the USA!!! Also the toys as well!!! You would have a following like The Wiggles!! Really!
At least, send me some DVD's and I will get everyone I know with kids HOOKED!!
This is a hidden gem and Pocoyo needs to be appreciated for the cuteness that is him.

Join the club! LOL! Adults love Pocoyo just as much as, if not more than all the little kids. Pocoyo appeals to anyone who loves kids. :)

Hi everyone, i'm from Portugal, and i know Pocoyo for quite long. Since Elly, to Pato, to Pocoyo himself.. i just LOVE the animation.
But i must confess, since my first time watching Pocoyo.. that.. i'm a huge huge fan of PATO.. i love him.. he's just PERFECT !!! He's my God !! :D
