Favorite Characters!

Three months ago we proposed that you vote for your favorite character, and it is only now, that after a long and complicated recount that we have published the voting results. It appears that Pato was expecting some more votes at the last minute, but even with these ...

Really, what happened to Loula? Oops! Of course … I did not agree that man´s best friend is a Duck (Pato) and not a dog, in Pocoyó's world ... Pulpo does not surprise us as much, since his enormous talent as an opera singer assures him a promising future, while continuing to make friends ;)

It is logical that each one of us has a favorite character. Indeed, here at Zinkia there is more than one person who dances like Pato :)

We are thinking of planning new votes and competitions! Any suggestions?

Hi David! Thanks for posting the results. I'm not at all surprised that little Pocoyo is the clear winner of the most popular character on his own series! :D

Pato has to come 2nd because of his facial expressions and his funny antics. Whoever is responsible for animating him, needs a gold medal too! :D (and maybe a hug and a kiss!) ;)

For the next poll, I'm wondering if it's possible to have the complete Series 1 released as a boxed set or something like that? Maybe we can see how many would be interested?

Also, if the movie idea is still in the works, maybe some storylines for the movie and see who wins? :)

Since the Arabic blog is a bit tardy and hasn't posted an Arabic article for this post, I hope you won't mind my humble contribution. I've put together an Arabic translation to this post... Here goes nothing!

الشخصيات المفضلة!
قبل ثلاثة أشهر تقدمنا بطلب التصويت لشخصيتكم المفضلة ، وبعد إعادة عد أصوات طويل و معقد ، قمنا للتو بنشر نتائج التصويت. حيث يبدو أن "باتو" كان يتوقع المزيد من الأصوات في لحظات التصويت الأخيرة ، ولكن حتى مع المزيد منها...
يا العجب! ما الذي حدث لـ"لولا"؟ بالطبع لست أوافق على أن تكون بطة (باتو) هي أفضل رفيقٍ للإنسان ، وليس الكلب ، في عالم "بوكويو" ... لست قلقاً على قلة شعبية "بولبو" ، فبراعته كمغني أوبرا تضمن له مستقبلاً واعداً ، في حين يستمر في تكوين الصداقات. ؛) (^_~)

As for the voting, it would only be natural for Pocoyo to come first. And it's really not a surprise to see Pato coming next. He's so hilarious! ^_^

And as Denise, I, as well, am hoping to see the whole first season in a nicely packed DVD box set, filled with extras, too, like behind the scenes footages breifing how Pocoyo is done, the "Animation References" movie clip, season 2 trailer(s) (the one in the June 13, 2007 "Pocoyo 2 is almost here" post is so amusing ^_^), and may be a sneak peak on Zinkia, too. ^_~

Can't blame 'em. Pocoyo IS the cutest although Pato deserves recognition for being the funniest. As for the contest, maybe trivias will be a good start.

Maybe you could also have a page dedicated to each character so people can contribute, keep up to date etc. with their favorite character from the series?

This is off topic, my baby is only 7 months old but she is totally enamored by Pocoyo and watches it everyday on Playhouse Disney. I am going to throw a Pocoyo themed party for her first birthday and I've been searching on the internet for images and printables that I can use for the party. How I wish you have Pocoyo merchandises here in the Philippines!

I've spent a lot of time analysing why adults love Pocoyo as much as pre-schoolers, primary schoolers and teens, and I think the biggest reason is because those who love Pocoyo, love little kids. Pocoyo represents every little kid, his antics, his delight in new things, his chubby little cheeks, his playfulness, his giggles and squeals. You just can't help but love Pocoyo!

I was with some friends earlier in the week and I said of their son, "He reminds me of Pocoyo with those cute chubby little cheeks!" His mother said, "You said that about his sister last year!" I said, "Yeah, I remember - but it's because Pocoyo is like every little toddler in some way!" Her kids like him too, I might add! :D

I just can't praise this wonderful series enough!! It's the best thing on kids' TV!!

Pocoyo is awesome, i wish i could see it more but thanks to school (posting it here) and CITV not being shown on freeview any more i can not watch it.
It's on channel 5 at 8:40 (what a ridiculous time to put it on and i just want to see more. ó_ó
