When we started designing Pocoyo World, a year ago approximately, we had many questions – especially in regards to the graphic design, the structure, the concept and the content.
One of the main aspects was to decide which kind of programming language we could use – taking into account 2 important factors: maintaining the 3D aesthetics of the series and making easy the access to everyone to the world. The aim was to avoid to installing a program in the computer or to download heavy files.
We finally decided to use Adobe Flash©. Thanks to the team, formed by Carlos Araiz y Emilio Bourdelande, Pocoyo World started to work out – very simple and with little objects, but working out!
Next step was to fulfill this new world. But we wanted to do it carefully - as this new project required a lot of patient and the best quality!
All the elements we included in this world should be familiar to their fans. And the new ones should keep the same line as Pocoyo.
That’s why we include trees, stones, flowers, butterflies, clouds… from the series – and we created new buildings, structures, pets, etc. All the new creations were done by our great designer Claudia Sandoval, together with the collaboration of the director of the series, Alfonso Rodríguez.
A special mention to the personal characters, a character that you can customize as you wish (change colour of eyes, hair, clothes, etc) and they belong to Pocoyo World. But we will talk about them later on…
